October Newsletter

Just a short update about the upcoming tryouts.  Tryouts will be on Monday 10/21 and Tuesday 10/22 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.  If you have children or know of other children who are interested, encourage them to come both nights.  We have tried to do a better job this time than in the past several years at getting the word out in area schools, so we have reason to believe we should have a better turnout than in the past.

If you plan on having children at tryouts, it would be to your advantage to get a copy of our registration form from the website and fill it out prior to getting to tryouts.  Some of you may have had children in the past and know what the tryout process is like.  If you have time to kill, we could always use help on those two days.  Even if you can't help both days, any time you have available would help greatly.  If you want to help and can get to the fields a little early, it would be appreciated.

We are still and always on the prowl for good coaches.  In the past, we have been limited to those parents who know a little about the game and have children on the team.  While this has worked, it would be better for us if we could attract people who would coach out of their interest in the game and who could devote a little extra time to getting some certifications in coaching.  Some of you may have had children go through the club, so you would be a little more in tune with the 'soccer' community in Howard County.  If so, please keep on the look out for coaching prospects and drop me a line if you know of someone.  My contact information can be found on our website.

Lastly, the Brownsburg Tournament is right around the corner.  I happen to have noticed that the schedules are on their website, which is linked off of the Forms page on our website.  There are also maps and other things to make the cold week go faster.  Have a fun time if you're going...
